To enable teachers to teach students better through online mode, CBSE has started online training program for them. The online training session will be of 1 hour. All teachers who complete this course will be given an e-certificate online. After joining five sessions, it will be considered equivalent to one day’s training. Through this training session, teachers will learn about student attendance, syllabus, online tests and ways to keep in touch with students, apart from teaching and learning online. Apart from this, skill development of teachers will also be done.
Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said through the webinar, “CBSE will assess the time loss for the new academic session and suggest ways to reduce the syllabus to reduce the exam pressure. The syllabus committee of the board has already started the work of reducing the syllabus.”
Earlier, CBSE had started Pilot Teacher Training Program for teachers. In the pilot program, CBSE had conducted more than 500 free online training sessions. More than 35 thousand teachers and principals participated in all these sessions.

This online teaching program has been kept completely free, which can be easily done by the teachers of CBSE board schools. This training will be completely online. CBSE has released the May month schedule on its website. Minister Nashank said, “Training is also being organized for teachers to use e-learning resource under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching to enable students to study online in this era of lockdown.”
